Yes — but the rules differ by state. Possums are protected native wildlife. Handling, trapping and release rules differ by state. Our technicians follow the licence conditions that apply in NSW, VIC, QLD or WA for your property. It is illegal to harm, kill, or permanently relocate possums. Only licensed technicians can trap and relocate them.
No. You don't need council approval to have possums removed from your private property. However, the removal must be carried out by a licensed technician using approved methods. Our team handles all of this for you.
No. Trapping possums without a licence is illegal in Australia and can result in significant fines. Even if you own a cage trap, you cannot legally trap a possum without holding a valid state wildlife licence.
Standard possum removal starts from $220. This includes setting approved traps, daily monitoring, and humane relocation at dusk. The final price depends on the number of possums, difficulty of access, and whether proofing or repairs are also required.
Yes. We provide a free, no-obligation property inspection and written quote before any work begins. There is no call-out fee and no obligation to proceed.
Yes. For larger jobs (proofing, roof repairs, strata services), we can discuss payment plans on a case-by-case basis. Please ask our team when booking.
In many cases, yes. Possum damage to your roof, insulation, and electrical systems may be covered under your home insurance policy. We can provide detailed written reports, photographs, and compliant removal records to support your claim.
We offer same-day inspections and bookings 7 days a week across all major cities. Call us before 12pm for a same-day appointment in most Sydney suburbs.
Most jobs are completed within 1–5 days. Setting the trap takes 30 minutes. We then monitor it daily until the possum is caught — this usually happens within 1–3 nights. Proofing and repairs are done separately and typically take half a day.
Our technicians check the traps every 24 hours (as required by law). You don't need to check anything yourself. We'll contact you each day to update you on progress.
Possums are handled and released according to the relevant state licence conditions. NSW, VIC, QLD and WA have different requirements, and our technician will explain the rule that applies to your property before work begins. We also strongly recommend installing a possum box nearby so they have an alternative home.
Not if we also proof the property. If you only do removal without proofing, another possum (or the same one) may find the same entry points within weeks. Our proofing work is guaranteed — if a possum re-enters through a sealed area, we fix it for free.
Signs include: scratching, thumping, or running sounds in your roof at night; possum droppings in the roof cavity or garden; a strong musty or ammonia smell; seeing a possum on your roof at dusk or dawn.
All proofing work comes with a written workmanship warranty. If a possum re-enters through any point we've proofed, we return and fix it at no charge. We also provide before-and-after photos for your records.
Our team is happy to answer any questions you have — no pressure, no sales pitch.
